6 Ways to Get De-Puff Eyes in the Morning
You’d think getting an adequate amount of rest and eating a healthy diet would make under-eye puffiness disappear, but alas, we still see bags underneath our eyes.
And while these bags aren’t nearly as bad as the ones we encounter following a late night out, they can be just as annoying. Since we’re tired of people asking if we’re tired, we complied a few puffy-eye remedies that you can try at home!
- Use a Cold Spoon
Leave two clean teaspoons in your freezer, and on puffy mornings, simply press them against your eyes for a few minutes. (Just make sure you rinse them in cold water first, to avoid a sticky Dumb & Dumber moment.)
2. Grab a Tea Bag
Drop two tea bags (unprocessed green or black tea is best) in a mug of hot water for a minute, let cool to a safe temperature, and then apply to eyes for three minutes. The natural caffeine in the tea will immediately help constrict blood vessels and reduce swelling.
3. Do a Gentle Double Tap
Gentle tapping can help reduce the accumulation of fluid under your eyes too!
4. Get an Eye Roller
A good eye roller packs all the powerhouse components previously mentioned: an icy metal ball, a caffeine-laced serum, and a pressing motion.
5. Try a Mask
Everyone is jumping on the eye mask bandwagon. Why? They pack a powerful lineup of ingredients to de-puff eyes, soothe, and hydrate.
6. Embrace Aloe
Cold aloe vera gel is another all-natural way to sooth and de-puff eyes, thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties. Keep a bottle in your fridge, and then apply it just like eye cream.
Eye Skin Care
These are all great and quick tricks for de-puffing first thing when you wake up. It will feel so nice on your skin and also help invigorate you to wake up and start your day! It’s important to remember that the skin around our eyes is super delicate and most prone to aging faster than the rest of our face. Be sure to take care of it with a good eye cream and a regular facial to keep your skin healthy, deep-cleaned and refreshed!
